A Mouth full of Frozen Words

Is this what heaven feels like?

I ask myself

As your tender eyes tame

The pitch black flame

Wrapped around us

If you listen closely

You can hear a storm

Butterflies blooming

Beneath my ribs

Held captive by

Your hypnotic grip

As your lips untied

The knots of my soul

My lips were cold

Our time tangled

In quiet quicksand

Where the world melted

Into just you and me

Now I have a mouth

Full of frozen words

And only your warmth

Can make them melt

And set them free.
