Where the Crawdads Sing - digital illustration

By Lloyd Ducksbury

On behalf of the Curieux editorial team, I’d like to thank Lucy Robson and Dendy Cinemas for hosting a wonderful screening of the latest release, Where the Crawdads sing, and for providing entry for Lloyd Ducksbury to review the film through their art.

Wonderfully illustrated by Lloyd Ducksbury is a piece responding to the book and new film release ‘Where the Crawdads sing’. The artwork depicts the protagonist, Kya, as a mix of beautiful young woman and lone creature of the marsh, the two identities she finds herself caught between.
