Prowess with a pen: forgotten hearts

By Toby Jennings

Memories,

Inspire the people to come.

A heart still beating,

And a war for some.

We seem to lose focus,

On the barriers that will settle.

Forgetting the natural beings,

With hearts so special.

Things are tough.

But life is always enough,

It’s time to accept,

and make the best of this silver-lined cloud.

Toby Jennings has a love for nature and the outdoors which he channels into his poetry and songs. He has been writing for four years and is in his first year of an Environmental Science degree. Toby’s poem ‘Forgotten Hearts’ has been inspired by the current world we are living in.
